You might think Instagram is just a friendly platform to share videos and photos. But it’s also become a strong marketing tool for businesses. Your sleep industry company can easily take advantage of this popular platform — and drive business/patients to your webstore.

Statistics show your sleep business has the potential to reach 900 million people on Instagram.

If you’re currently using a personal Instagram account to promote your sleep company, you should switch to an Instagram Business account — as it has useful expanded features. All of this is free.

You can add business hours and a store address to your bio. You can also add call-to-action buttons below the bio, like “message” and “email,” which isn’t possible on a personal account. And you can tag products in posts with an Instagram Business account.

Tips to maximise Instagram’s powerful sales, marketing, and customer service tool:

#1 – Post Frequently: Instagram should be used for polished photos and evergreen sleep-related content. You’re allowed to share multiple photos in each post — but it’s best to limit to two or three. And post just once per day, or you risk spamming. Instagram Stories is different; you can string together multiple stories, or add new stories often, without worries of spamming.

Instagram videos can be up to one minute long; Instagram Stories videos must be 15 seconds max. Use multiple hashtags to expand the reach of posts. On Stories, just one or two hashtags is the best practice.

#2 – Engage with Sleep Customers: Respond to comments and direct messages from followers. This messaging feature has become increasingly popular, and people are using it to ask questions about products and services — and customer service.

#3 – Check Account Analytics: An Instagram Business account provides access to Instagram’s analytics tool. You can see follower demographics, post engagement statistics, and the best day and time to share your sleep-focused content. These insights can shape your content strategy.

#4 – Launch an Ad Campaign: An Instagram advertising campaign with a small budget can actually get great results. You can meet goals to increase your reach or sell more sleep products and services.
