Improve Your Healthcare Company’s LinkedIn Page

A LinkedIn company page is essential for Healthcare clinics, including dental practices. You can provide your audience with valuable information on your practice — and engage with them, which is effective in establishing both credibility and trust. 

A few tips to maximise your LinkedIn company page:

#1: Promote Your Brand. Your healthcare company’s logo and a banner image — at the top of your company page — are two critical visuals you must include. The banner serves as the background image, and other graphic design elements (colours and fonts) will establish your brand identity on LinkedIn.

Consider adding your company URL and phone number to the banner image — as well as a call-to-action, tagline or hashtag to gain engagement with your followers.

You can switch background images at any time, so use this space to promote upcoming events, a product launch, your best clients, a hashtag campaign, or new hires. You might also use the banner space to promote company news and/or events. You might also incorporate elements from your website. Just make sure all elements reflect your business’ brand.

#2: Promote Landing Pages. Your website URL is required for your LinkedIn page, and you’ll want to keep it there most of the time. However, if you’ve got a special event or promotion, you can change your website URL to point to your blog or a product promotion or event registration page.

#3: Speak Directly to Prospective Patients. Very often, your healthcare company’s LinkedIn page is a patient’s first impression of your clinic. They want to check you out, and you want to captivate them right away.

Instead of simply copying your website’s About section, consider taking it up a notch. Write a description that speaks directly to your prospective patients — letting them know who you are, and how you can help them. Share some of your background, identify the pain points you see in many patients, and state how you can help. Every word can help boost your credibility.

#4: Improve Visibility in Search. Add keywords to the Specialties section to make your page easier to find. 

#5: Feature Your Healthcare Specialties. LinkedIn provides showcase pages that act as subpages to your company page. You can use these pages to promote specific services like dental implants, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry. 

#6: Keep Your Healthcare Practice Top of Mind With Patients. Post at least once, but ideally a few times a week, with content that will bring people to your practice’s appointment page. This will also keep your page relevant.

Make sure you add your company page to your social sharing tool, such as Hootsuite. Share images or content as updates. 

#7: Engage With Your LinkedIn Community. Keep an eye on your LinkedIn page notifications. This will show you how many people like, share, and comment on your updates. You might post links to relevant articles, with a little intro. 

When you engage right away with these people, you increase their trust and loyalty — which can result in appointments.
