Do you want to find more new patients for your dental practice? Do you want to try online marketing, but don’t have a website? Or maybe you feel your website is not good enough?
Or are you trying the old fashioned methods of newspaper ads and mail drops, but finding they are not working like they used to?
Well the good news is that you don’t need a website to do online marketing.
We are a digital marketing agency that works just in the dental sector. We got into this via our dental laboratory. In order to grow our dental laboratory we turned to digital marketing. It worked extremely well and one of the things we learnt about was how to use landing pages.
What are landing pages? Well, when you are marketing online, if you want to get the best results, you send people to a landing page, not a normal website. A landing page is a custom made web page designed specifically for the marketing campaign. Typically it has a single purpose, which is to provide the patient with enough information you the practice and the treatment, so they feel confident to make an enquiry via the telephone or contact form.
Many of our clients have websites, but we never use them for the online marketing campaigns. We always make a custom-made landing page instead. If we send patients to a normal website then only about 1-2 out of every 100 website visitors will make an enquiry. But if we send patients to a landing page, we find that 10-20 out of every 100 website visitors will make an enquiry.
So, if you don’t have a website, you can still do online marketing.
You might be wondering how we find patients using online marketing?
I’m sure you’ve heard of Google and Facebook. We place ads at the top of Google when someone in your local area searches for your services, i.e. “dentist near me” or “dental implants”. Then when someone clicks that ad they go to the landing page we made for you. If the click costs $0.50, and 1 in 10 visitors makes an enquiry via the contact form / telephone on the landing page, then the new patient enquiry has cost $5.
With Facebook we place ads in the newsfeeds of local people who are most likely to be interested in your treatments. With Facebook we can target people who have recently moved to the area, or who have recently become engaged, or who fit the profile of a typical dental implant patient. Again, if the click on the ad costs $0.50, and 1 in 10 visitors to the landing page makes an enquiry via the contact form / telephone, then the new patient enquiry has cost $5.
In case you are wondering, when someone clicks on the ad, they go to the landing page.
With Google you are advertising to local people at the very moment that they are thinking about your services. And with Facebook you are advertising to people who are more likely than most to be interested in your services. These targeting capabilities are the reason why Google and Facebook some of the most valuable companies in the world.
Many of your competitors may not be doing online advertising, or they may not be doing very well. This is a great opportunity for you. By doing effective online advertising now, before everyone else is, you can enjoy low cost clicks and lots of patient enquiries.
