[DENTISTS] How to write long blog posts – part 2

By Loran Simon | Our Service

Today I'd like to give you some help with writing longer blog posts, and a tip for promoting them. Plus I will also give 3 example long blog posts that you can download, see below.

Search engines like to see websites that are regularly updated with fresh relevant content. But finding things to write about, and finding the time can be hard.

In this email I will show you how to find stories and write longer blog posts. In the next email I will show you how to share the short and long blog posts on social media.

Let's get started.

How to write longer blog posts

Writing Articles

These are the style guidelines for every blog post:

  • 100% unique content (can’t be plagiarised).
  • 500 - 700 words.
  • Ends with links to the original articles.

Step One

Find several good source articles on the topic you want to write about.

Step Two

Write a 500 - 700 word blog post summarising the key points. The article must excel in every aspect - length, design, current information etc. Try to write about things that your target audience will find interesting.

For example, if writing about a treatment. Can you answer the questions they are likely to have? And can you answer questions they won't be asking, but should be. Are there benefits to the treatment that they may not be aware of?

Step Three

Add the article to your blog.

Step Four

Try contacting blogs that have written about your topic. You can use the contact form on the blog, or see if they are reachable via Twitter. Tell them about your new blog post, maybe their audience will also find it interesting. This can help bring more people to your blog post.

Here is an email template you can use.

Hey [Name],

I was searching for some articles about [topic] and I came across this page [URL].

Just wanted to give you a heads up that I created a similar article.

Might be worth a mention on your page.

Either way, keep up the awesome work!

Many thanks and best wishes

VENEERS

We write blog posts for our clients every week as a part of our all-inclusive SEO and Social Media service for dental practices.

So why should you listen to me? Well, do you want to use digital marketing to get new patient enquiries.

We sustain a fantastic reputation in the dental industry and deliver incredible results to every single one of our clients, at the most affordable prices.

We have now generated over 57,000 new patient enquiries at an average cost of under £7 each.

Rewind 7 years at our dental laboratory, Somnowell Ltd (somnowell.com), which I founded with my father-in-law Visiting Professor Simon Ash, consultant and specialist Orthodontist. We decided to drive patient demand (for our anti-snoring device) ourselves by advertising directly to patients with digital marketing.

After successfully cracking-the-code I set up a done-for-you digital marketing service (somnowellmarketing.com) for dental practices to get more patients for all their other treatments. Last month for one of our clients we generated 12 new Invisalign cases in a one day event.

  • Everything is in your name, so you have full transparency and can keep everything forever
  • There is a small all inclusive management fee, we do not charge extra for setting everything up, and there are no hidden fees
