Today, Somnowell Marketing will plant 220 trees for the Earth Day celebration.
Every month since October 2020, we have planted a tree in the South American rainforest in each client’s name, and each team member’s name as well. We do this as part of our commitment to environmental responsibility.
To date, we have planted 2,247 trees with Tree-Nation to offset our company’s CO2 emissions.
Making both the company staff and our website CO2-neutral. We also plant one tree for each Somnowell client every month.
The trees we plant are Caesalpinia velutina, a leguminous tree with very hard, dense wood. It grows straight and tall very quickly. It is often used for fences and posts, and it aids in soil fertilization.
These hardy fast-growing trees are planted in Nicaragua, as part of CommuniTree, a community-based reforestation initiative that regroups small-scale farming families to develop ecosystem services for the voluntary carbon market. Participants reforest and maintain under-utilized portions of their land in exchange for payments for ecosystem services.
