How Long Does it take to Build a Website

Building a website might take longer than you realise. Our team uses a three-stage approach to website development. We first discuss your needs and determine the solution that meets your goals. We will outline the overall content structure, features and user experience on all pages. For existing websites, we also perform a technical site audit to determine whether new content or new pages are necessary.

We then move to design, and will mock up exactly how all the pages will look on mobile and desktop devices. These mockups will be like pictures of your future website. The final stage is development, where we build a website that matches the approved designs and functionality. We will then send the completed website to you for review, and modify them based on your feedback.

A typical website will take 16 weeks at a minimum to develop, if the content is ready when we start. The process takes much longer if we don’t have all content, images and other elements when we begin.
